Surgical Education:

Surgical education is a major component of Dr. Horberg’s orthopaedic practice. He has served directly as an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery and also travels extensively to teach basic and complex joint replacement techniques.

  1. Visiting Lectureship: Dr. Horberg is available for and enjoys serving as a visiting professor and/or lecturer.

  2. Academic Society Meetings: Dr. Horberg is happy to serve as a speaker, panelist or educator at academic meetings.

  3. Industry Sponsored Courses: Dr. Horberg has traveled across the country teaching hip and knee replacement techniques as well as robotics and other emerging technologies at industry sponsored events. He believes strongly in the importance of teaching the safe and effective use of implants and devices.

  4. On Site Surgeon Visits: Dr. Horberg is happy to sponsor surgeons to come to his facility to observe him operate and is also available to travel to their facility.

  5. Graduate Medical Education: Dr. Horberg enjoys serving as faculty/proctor for medical students as well as residents and fellows of any medical or surgical specialty that may benefit from clinical or surgical exposure. Additionally, he is happy to have students of other allied professions (PA, NP, PT, etc…) rotate with him as well.

Evaluation & Development:

  1. Device Development: Dr. Horberg is passionate about technological advancement in Orthopaedics. He has experience in product development and design and is happy to assist on development projects.

  2. Device Evaluation: Dr. Horberg has also assisted with early evaluation of medical devices and enjoys evaluating the cutting edge of Orthopaedic technology.

  3. Expert Consulting: Dr. Horberg serves as an Expert Network consultant on topics pertaining to medicine, Orthopaedics, practice management, medical software, etc…

Content Development:

  1. Surgical Education: Dr. Horberg has produced educational videos and other digital content for medical and surgical education. He is available to assist in future content creation projects.

  2. Patient Education: Dr. Horberg has also assisted in developing a portfolio of patient education strategies and materials. These can be customized and licensed to suit various practice models and environments.

Medical Legal:

  1. Expert Witness: Dr. Horberg is available to serve as expert witness in litigation involving medical legal issues and/or depositions

  2. Independent Medical Evaluation: Dr. Horberg has served as independent medical evaluator for workman’s comp, disability, etc… claims.
